Tony Nijhuis - The Man Behind The Designs

Tony Nijhuis (pronounced Ny-House) learnt to build model aeroplanes at a young age and was always technically minded. Nijhuis was always very good at drawing and was even doing 3 view drawings by the age of 5.

After being made redundant in 1991, Tony set up Westfield Models and his first four models were a MiG 15, a Sabre, a Vampire and a P80 Shooting Star.

Tony is married with 4 children. He lives just outside Hastings and commutes into London by train where he works as a mechanical consulting engineer.
