A long time in the designing and one our Canadian friends
have been waiting a long time for, the Halifax compliments the Lancaster
and indeed all of Tony’s designs.
As with the Lancaster, the Halifax is a real builders model. Fully built
up construction using balsa and plywood, the fuselage is a simple ‘slab
sided’ structure with a sheet balsa top and a cross-sheeted underside.
The wings are a built-up structure of ribs over a main spar and balsa
sheeted. The tailplane built up in a similar fashion to the wings.
Design for four 32-40 IC engines or the brushless equivalent.
The plans are full size on two very large sheets and the VAC form set
includes the cockpit canopy, the top and rear turrets, the nose dome,
the underside raydome and four engine cowls….a very complete set!
The CNC pack includes, ply fuselage formers, wing ribs and tail ribs
and the nacelle structures.
Additional balsa wood sheet and strip stock is required to finish the
model and is listed and priced below. The model is design for retractable
undercarriage.
