The 72” electric
B17 was designed to compliment
the successful Lancaster
of the same size and again
is a real builders model.
Fully built up construction
using balsa and plywood.
The fuselage is built over
the plan using formers and
stringers and rolled balsa
sheeted finish. The wings
are a built-up structure
of ribs over a main spar
and balsa sheeted. The tailplane
built up in a similar fashion
to the wings.
Originally designed for
four 400-6V geared motors
and 16-cells but we now
recommend a brushless setup
with lithium polymer batteries
for the best flight performance
and duration.
The model is designed for
retractable undercarriage.
Plan, canopy, turrets, and
cowls are available as is
a CNC pack and wood pack.
The CNC pack includes, ply
fuselage formers, spines
and doublers, ply wing ribs
and the nacelle structure,
tailplane and fin ribs.
Please Note
Although we carry selective
stock, we generally print
and manufacture to order
so deliveries may take up
to 28 days to reach you
from point of order. Also
delivery of plans, some
plastic parts and CNC wood
packs will be sent as separate
consignments.
